Rev. Karl E. Loeb
In 1988, Fr. Karl entered priestly formation where he resided at the former Pope John Paul II Residence in Buffalo while studying at Canisius College graduating in 1990. From there, he entered Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora graduating in 1994. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Buffalo on May 13, 1995 by Bishop Edward D. Head. Fr. Karl served as parochial vicar at Ss. Peter and Paul in Jamestown, St. Leo the Great in Amherst, and Nativity of Our Lord in Orchard Park. He served as Temporary Administrator at St. John's in Jamestown and St. Teresa of Avila in Akron. He served as pastor of St. Vincent de Paul in Attica and, after the merger with St. Joseph's in Varysburg, as pastor of Ss. Joachim and Anne Parish. He became pastor of St. Vincent de Paul in Springbrook on May 27, 2014. In the Summer of 2023, Fr. Jerry Skrzynski became the new Pastor of our Family of Parishes, with Fr. Karl the Senior Parochial Vicar, and Fr. Aaron Kulczyk as our Paraochial Vicar. |
Fr. Karl Loeb is a native of Dunkirk, New York. After graduating from Jamestown Community College in 1976, he spent approximately ten years in the accounting profession. During those years, he was active in his home parish of St. Elizabeth Seton. He served as assistant organist and choir director, later assuming directorship. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He made Cursillo in 1985 and became active in the Dunkirk-Fredonia Ultreya.

Religious Education Director Julie Cappello has been working for St. Vincent's as the Director of Religious Education since Fall 2021. Julie enjoys encouraging others to understand and appreciate their Catholic faith and believes that it is most important for all of us to feel a connection with Jesus Christ in a close and personal way. |

Hello! I have been with the parish since I was ten or eleven and moved from St. Catherine of Siena in West Seneca. I enjoy my roles at St. Vincent's because of the impact that exposure to God and a loving community can have on the lives of the kids I meet. I've taught in first and seventh grade classrooms here and helped on the Life Teen core team. I was also on the core team with the middle school Edge program. In 2016, I became the Edge Coordinator, and I'm 2020 the Life Teen Coordinator. Outside of St. Vincent's, I used to be a data analyst full time, but now am pursuing teaching secondary math full time because of my passion for teaching teens and love of math. I enjoy every day that I work with the middle and high schoolers and want the best for them in their faith and their life.
