Hello Parents!
Thank you for entrusting your children to our Family Faith Formation program.
St. Vincent’s Religious Education Department is committed to providing our parish families with the best possible resources and instruction, while maintaining the balance and integrity of family life.
Family Faith Formation Sessions will be offered once a month on Sundays from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Families attend our Family Faith Formation sharings; in which, during part of the session; children will attend classes with catechists. (Please refer to calendar for specific dates and times).
Family Faith Formation is a family based Catechetical program for families with children K- 6, which includes an adult formation component. These formation classes will allow families at St. Vincent’s the opportunity to grow together in the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith through theological reflection, scripture study, participation at Mass, discussion, prayer, home study, online learning, and activities that enrich and cultivate faith in the home.
St. Vincent’s will be using sophiainstituteforteachers.org as our curriculum for this upcoming years’ Family Faith Formation. Please feel free to view the video below to get a feel for what the program will be like:
Attendance:
We will have 8 gatherings of Parents & Students. Please check with the Faith Formation Calendar to see class dates.
If your child is sick, please email us. A make up packet will be given to families of lesson missed.
Parents will be emailed regarding the FFF group that your family will be assigned to for this coming year.
FFF Gatherings Dates: Meet one Sunday/ month from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM
Family Liturgy Day : All families are invited to participate @ 10:00 AM Mass (New Mass time starting Oct. 1st)
Weekend Mass times: (September 2023) Saturday @4:30 PM Sunday 8 AM , 9:30 AM, and 11 AM
New Mass times starting Sept. 30th - Saturday 4:00pm and Sunday at 10am
4th-6th Grade Additional Monthly Class: Sunday 11:00AM - 12:15PM
We understand that parents and families can be very busy. If you are unable to teach the at home family lesson for the month, then please consider dropping off your 4th-6th grader for class, so your child does not miss out on a lesson. These classes will be taught on Sunday mornings from 11:00 - 12:15 in the 6th grade classroom. Class Dates: 10/22, 11/12, 12/17, 1/28, 3/10.
