Thank you for entrusting your children to our Family Faith Formation program. St. Vincent’s religious education program will be in full swing commencing with our parent meetings on Sept 13th. St. Vincent’s Religious Education Department is committed to providing the families and children in our parish with the best possible resources and instruction while maintaining the integrity of family life. Family Faith Formation Sessions A and B will be offered once a month on Sundays from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. We recommend that one parent or caregiver attend Family Faith Formation, First Reconciliation, and First Communion classes at designated class times on Sunday mornings (Please refer to calendar for specific dates and times).
Family Formation is a family based Catechetical program for families with children K- 6, which includes an adult formation component. These structured formation classes will allow families at St. Vincent’s the opportunity to grow together in the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith through volunteer, theological reflection, attendance at Mass, home study, online learning, and activities that enrich and cultivate faith in the home. Please click here to register for the program.
Our program will be using sophiainstituteforteachers.org as our curriculum for this upcoming year. Please take a look at the video below to get a feel for what the program will be like:
Parent Presentation: Please see slides for parent presentation here.
Your child’s attendance is a reflection of your families’ priorities. Families are required to attend four of the monthly family gatherings. Please check with the Religious Education Calendar ahead of time to be sure you do not miss any classes or future engagements. If your child is sick, please call our office at 716-652-7242. Families are allowed one absence for the year and make up work is required.
Thank you for all that you do to ensure that the Catholic faith is at the center of your family’s life!
May God continue to bless you!
Mrs. Lisa Benzer, DRE
