Bishops’ Committee for Christian Home and Family was organized in Buffalo during 1939 by the late Bishop John A. Duffy and has been continued by each of his successors. This program emphasizes the importance of inculcating Christian moral values in a child during the earliest years. It not only encourages parents as the primary religious educators of children, but supports them by offering practical guidelines as a means of achieving their goal. Father Karl distributes the booklet, Thoughts for Christian Parents, which has been specifically developed with parents and pre-schoolers in mind and is constantly updated to keep the program meaningful for modern Christian family living.
